We hope that you and your family continue to enjoy the beautiful York Manor Community! As stated in our introductory letter, community dues would be our next communication. We can only ask for dues, but we needthe help! If you have already paid your 2025 dues, we thank you!
You might ask “Should I pay dues if I don’t use any of the services of the committee?” Good question; the answer, of course, is yes. The York Manor Improvement Association performs several functions that keep York Manor a desirable neighborhood. The value of your property is directly related to the desirability of the neighborhood. Ask ANY realtor!
- Insurance & Maintenance of the neighborhood lot: The corner of Haddington and York is approximately 1/4 acre and houses our sign. We the community, own this property which must be insured and maintained. This is our biggest expense, roughly $3000/year.
- Communications: We want to be able to continue publishing a directory, and maintain our Website such that upcoming events are communicated.
- Covenant enforcement: Not “Mrs. Kravitz”, nosing around to ensure your hedges are trimmed; we are simply here to help prevent disputes between neighbors and to help avoid Baltimore County violations. That’s why the covenants were written some 65 years ago.
- Community involvement: Participate on committees with greater Lutherville, Greater Timonium, Baltimore County, Baltimore County Police, etc.
- Social: A very small portion of our budget including occasional holiday gatherings and donations to LVFD for the Santa tours. Networking within the community can be rewarding!
